Fall Inspirations

Color is a very integral part of our lives. It evokes deep emotional responses. Each of us has favorite colors. I love soft gray blues and absolutely hate orange.

The richest of colors come from nature. The fall season is when nature presents its richest tones of yellow and gold, bright pink to deepest red, eggplant and shades of soft browns. These are tones of warmth and comfort.

The fall colors in my yard inspired these designs. I took pictures of the foliage in the yard. Then used the crop feature in the custom library and/or the eye dropper to paint walls and apply fabrics.

Hi Ann, love your Fall inspired designs, I enjoy encompassing the vivid colors of this time of year too. Have to comment though about what I have found working here in Oregon as compared to elsewhere…here I can neither sell pink nor swags it seems !! I am amazed at the difference in what sells in the Northwest. And as for orange…its hot here! Not so much true orange, but the burnt oranges are extremely popular at the moment, the Tuscany colors of deep golds, greens and dark oranges seem to appeal whereas pinks and burgundy’s are a hard sell. Anyway, I enjoyed your comments and designs, thank you!

It is pretty amazing how different colors and styles sell well around the country! Tuscany colors and styles have seemed to be pretty popular here in New Jersey over the last few years, as well. Although, no matter where you are, nature always gives such unique inspiration!

    Hello Ann,
Nice color combos. Autumn color schemes have always been my favorite. They can make the gloomiest of spaces look warm and cozy, even during long New England winters.
